We have used the Art of Mentoring Design Kit, Training Kit and eLearning package to create an excellent suite of mentoring resources that anyone in the University can use to build and manage a mentoring program. We now have one approach to mentoring university-wide, and any faculty or department can create their own locally-delivered mentoring program using best in class resources. The Art of Mentoring team is also delivering a series of Train the Trainer workshops to ensure that program managers are well trained and supported. This was a wonderful way to build internal mentoring capacity, fast.
We have used the Art of Mentoring team twice at Toyota to design and deliver mentoring programs. The first highly successful program was one for female managers. This time we are using mentoring to support the company and our people to make the transition out of local manufacturing. Art of Mentoring consultants are entirely managing the program for us so we can focus on the business. Their resources are world-class, customer care is fabulous – we really feel like they are on our team.
