Growth you can prove

Digital Badges

Mentoring participants celebrating a digital badge achievement
Mentoring that leaves evidence.

Digital credentials turn mentoring participation into visible proof of growth, contribution, and professional development.

Most mentoring programs create meaningful learning and impact. Digital credentials provide a recognised way to capture and showcase those achievements long after the program concludes.

Participants invest 20, 30, sometimes 50 hours across a program and walk away with a credential they can carry throughout their career. When the program ends, the credential stays.

What digital badges for mentoring programs enable
Built into the Art of Mentoring platform, so there’s no separate tool, no manual issuance, and no extra admin.
First credential of its kind
Recognition for program champions
The Program Champion Badge recognises the HR and L&D leaders behind successful mentoring programs, celebrating the people who invest their time, expertise, and energy into creating impactful participant experiences.
Verified credentials for participants
Every participant who meets the completion criteria earns a verified digital badge automatically. Helping organisations recognise achievement, demonstrate program impact, and celebrate participant success at scale.
Behaviour change through transparency
When a credential is on the line, participants show up differently. Completion rates go up, survey response rates improve, and your organisation’s mentoring culture becomes visible to every professional in their network.
ROI you can report
Badge attainment rates are tracked in your program dashboard alongside completion rates, survey scores, and engagement data. Giving program champions another measurable indicator of participant success and program outcomes.
A credential that follows the career
Unlike a certificate in a filing cabinet, a digital badge lives on LinkedIn permanently. It is shareable, portable, and tied permanently to the holder’s professional profile.
Art of Mentoring digital badge platform preview
Not a participation trophy. A verifiable credential.

Linked to LinkedIn, backed by evidence, and built to follow your career. Art of Mentoring is the only mentoring platform to issue digital credentials to both participants and the HR and L&D leaders who build and champion mentoring programs.

Mentoring creates meaningful growth. Digital credentials provide a lasting way to recognise, showcase, and celebrate that achievement.

Credentials live beyond the life of the program, helping participants demonstrate their development, contribution, and commitment to professional growth. For organisations, they create greater visibility of mentoring achievements, making it easier to celebrate success and highlight the impact across the business.

Frequently asked questions

What is a digital badge in a mentoring program?

A digital badge is a verifiable credential that proves a participant completed a mentoring program. Unlike a PDF certificate, it’s shareable directly to LinkedIn, backed by a permanent record, and linked to the person who earned it, not the program it came from.

How are badges issued through Art of Mentoring?

Issuance is fully automated. When a participant meets the completion criteria for their tier, the badge is issued without any manual steps from your team. The Program Champion Badge is the only exception and requires a brief confirmation from the Art of Mentoring team.

What is an Open Badge?

Open Badges is the global standard for digital credentials, governed by IMS Global. Every badge issued through Art of Mentoring complies with the Open Badges v2.0+ specification, which means badges are portable, interoperable, and accepted across platforms worldwide.

Can digital badges from Art of Mentoring be shared to LinkedIn?

Yes. Participants can share their badge directly to their LinkedIn profile in one click from the badge notification. The credential then appears permanently on their profile, visible to employers, peers, and recruiters.

What happens to badges if someone changes jobs or we switch platforms?

Badges are tied to the holder’s email address, not your organisation’s subscription or platform. They persist across role changes, organisation changes, and vendor changes. Badge wallet infrastructure includes Credly, Badgr, and Sertifier.

What is the Program Champion Badge?

It is an Open Badges-compliant credential awarded to HR and L&D leaders who design and deliver a structured mentoring program through Art of Mentoring. It is issued when a program reaches 70% or more completion across all required dimensions. No other mentoring platform badges the people who build the programs.
